As I am part of the Santa Monica College's Instructional Technology and AI committee, I created this latest video with my AI colleagues to explore the evolving landscape of GenAI and academic integrity, offering a practical guide for ethical use in higher education. It shows how AI creates opportunities for pedagogical innovation while also raising concerns about plagiarism and authenticity. The video shares strategies for setting institutional boundaries and promoting responsible AI use. The focus is on clearly defining when AI is appropriate and when it is not, within the course syllabus, while setting expectations for how learners should engage with AI tools throughout the learning process.
